We will hopefully be joined on the day by some others also sharing the space to sell their stashes too.

Every purchase helps support our designated charities while ensuring these quality materials find new homes where they’ll be appreciated and used.
Sunday 10 November, 2:00pm-5:00pm Plastic Playgroup (DoES Workshop)
In a world with mountains of plastic and molehills of play, let’s get our spades out and shift the balance.Make new things from abandoned plastic with us. Plantpots, purses … pedalos?Shred plastic. Blend it. Meld scraps together with a heat gun. Make sheets. Laser cut it. CNC it. Stitch potato bags together with soldering iron? Make fabrics with a regular iron? What have we got, what can we make? We don’t know – let’s figure it out!
Two rules:
1. No Objectives – this is an aimless and wandering session.
2. Bring Your Own Initiative – this is an active session and we’ll help you get creative.
Every two weeks on a Sunday afternoon, between 2pm and 5pm.Facilitated by Plastic Tactics – follow on social for the latest updates, and to see what we make if you can’t be here in person:

Lift Access

We had more issues with the lift this weekend.

The frequency of these issues might tempt people into trying their own fixes, but Jennie has reiterated that only Stannah should access the lift panel, even with the best intentions, and that wedges should not be used (there’s a key for the door lock in the key safe on the ground floor).

Community Meeting (Future Gazing Part 2)

At our recent Future Gazing event, we talked about reintroducing community meetings.
The first one, or Future Gazing Part 2, is going to be on Sunday 27th October from 2pm – 4pm (the most popular choice in Chris H’s Doodle Poll), to talk about issues relating to running the space, including finances and price rises. It would be great to see as many people as possible, and if you weren’t able to get along to Future Gazing Part 1, you can catch up by reading Adrian’s summary, and take a look here for the complete Google Group thread relating to this.

Things of Note

  • DoES Liverpool:Some great photos of our event space – from Tuesday’s Liverpool City Council Good Health training session delivered by Rachel Flood of Flood Associates.

Email us at hello@doesliverpool.com if you’d like to hire our space.

Things of Note

  • Adrian McEwen:Back on designing the audio level shifter board for my bike transmitter.Moved up to @FreeCAD v1.0 and it really feels like a proper release.

The inclusion of the assembly workbench is great (this is an assembly of a step file from @kicad and two bodies); and lots of little improvements in the sketcher make it much smoother to use.
