Each week we’ll endeavour to publish some details of the interesting things that members of DoES Liverpool have been up to over the past seven days. You can find out a bit more about them in our introductory post.
And remember, if you’re involved with DoES Liverpool at all, let us know what you get up to so we can include it here!
COVID-19
Click here for details of the measures we’re currently taking related to the COVID-19 situation, especially if you’re thinking of coming in to the space. We’ll keep you updated if anything changes – make sure you’re following us via our Google Group, and/or via social media.
Boost Membership
We’ve launched our next Boost membership campaign – click here to find out more and for the application form. On offer is one six month workshop membership and one six month allocated desk and workshop membership. The closing date for applications is 28th February, we’ll be holding the draw on 2nd March and the membership will start on 1st April. We’d like to spread the message even further this time, so if you’ve know any groups or individuals who would benefit but might not know about DoES Liverpool, then please tell them!
Halton Makefest
Snoof has been in touch about this year’s Halton Makefest which is on 26th March from 10 – 4 at Runcorn Shopping City. The organisers have asked her to pass on an invitation for “any lovely DoES people to participate”. If anyone wants to help run a DoES Liverpool stand then get in touch with Snoof or Jackie and we’ll put in an application.
Liverpool Makefest
Early warning for Liverpool Makefest which is on Saturday July 2nd 2022 at Liverpool Central Library. We’ve already replied to say we’re taking part, so it’s time to start thinking about what everyone wants to display.
If anyone wants to do a workshop on behalf of DoES Liverpool then get in touch.
Things of Note

- DoES Liverpool: Some electronics from #makernight: Russ demonstrating use of loudspeaker as a microphone plus sensor circuits from @tomjepps2018 and Chris Edmonds
#makernight every Thursday Maker Day on 2nd Saturday of each month. Everyone welcome. Free tickets via Eventbrite.

#weeknotes twitter.com/DoESLiverpool/… - Adrian McEwen: Slowly getting closer to having the DoES Liverpool values up on the walls. Got them printed to the right size and in their clip-frames today. Hanging them on the wall is a task for another day #weeknotes pic.twitter.com/QLLfFRt7c1
- Jackie Pease: Stackable pen storage for pen plotter supplies, laser cut from a parametric design from festi.info/boxes.py – a really useful site, often used DoES Liverpool people to make boxes for electronics etc.
