Week 719 – Stealing Sheep GloRide, Printer Envy

17th March 2025

Each week we’ll endeavour to publish some details of the interesting things that members of DoES Liverpool have been up to over the past seven days. You can find out a bit more about them in our introductory post.

And remember, if you’re involved with DoES Liverpool at all, let us know what you get up to so we can include it here!

Community Meeting

Jake T has posted the minutes from the March community meeting. You can find them here. The next community meeting is at 13:00 on Sunday 6th of April, with Hack the Space Day from 10:00.

Things of Note

MCQN Ltd:

We had a really good #MYBikesGotLED fitting session last night at @DoESLiverpool This was all in preparation for #StealingSheep band’s performance tonight.

We’ve put a lot of effort into getting people along and make the whole event #Glo for the #GloRide.

The lights were riding out the door as fast as we could fit them.

  • Andy Green (the 3D printing one), emailed this photo of his artwork, “Memories of Matsushima”. After laser cutting and sanding, he tinted the birch ply with Yorkshire tea and matcha green tea, and it’s now on its way to Japan.

What have we got, what can we make? We don’t know – let’s figure it out!
Two rules:
1. No Objectives – this is an aimless and wandering session.
2. Bring Your Own Initiative – this is an active session and we’ll help you get creative.
