Each week we’ll endeavour to publish some details of the interesting things that members of DoES Liverpool have been up to over the past seven days. You can find out a bit more about them in our introductory post.
And remember, if you’re involved with DoES Liverpool at all, let us know what you get up to so we can include it here!

Things of Note
- Alex:
#Mathpad is the worlds first mathematical keypad for students and professionals.
- Chris Huffee:The feeling when there’s only 30cm of fillament left on the roll at the end of the job, but your Bowden tube is 50cm long and yet you managed to save the print by loading another spool mid print and shunting plastic.
#weeknotes - MCQN Ltd:Kicking off another round of weeknotes now that we’re 1024 weeks old! Featuring LEDs, bikes, @museuminabox, 3D scanning, and marketing.Week 1024 – a Kiloweek of MCQNhttps://mcqn.com/posts/week-1024-kiloweek-of-mcqn/#weeknotes #ESP32 #LED #photogrammetry #3Dscanning #marketing
- Museum in a Box:Much fun in the office this afternoon poking around this online asteroid tracker from NASA.Looking at the 3D visualisations of the asteroids and wondering if we can 3D print them and build a Museum in a Box asteroids collection…https://eyes.nasa.gov/apps/asteroids/#/homeh/t @amberfirefly for alerting us to it!
- Adrian McEwen:Whatever event was on upstairs from @DoESLiverpool today massively over-catered their bourbon cream order. We did discuss laser-etching or otherwise machining them, but settled for building a small wall.Wondering if I can get away with calling this a #mayke 🤣#weeknotes #BiscuitEngineering
- Adrian McEwen:Today in @oshwassociation #OHS2025 prep: how close to a PCB can you place an NFC sticker and still have it work. Thanks to mine and @huffeec‘s experiments, it seems a 3mm gap (filled with plywood if desired) is okay 😀#weeknotes
- Chris Huffee:My tiny 3d printed bike’s got led.
A little something extra for the @MCQN_Ltd table at @oshwassociation #ohs2025#weeknotes #bananaforscale
