Week 695 – Bike Transmitter

30th September 2024

Each week we’ll endeavour to publish some details of the interesting things that members of DoES Liverpool have been up to over the past seven days. You can find out a bit more about them in our introductory post.

And remember, if you’re involved with DoES Liverpool at all, let us know what you get up to so we can include it here!

New Boost Members Starting 1st October

You can find out more about our October start Boost members Sahra and Sam from our recent post here.

Things of Note

  • Adrian McEwen:Back on designing the audio level shifter board for my bike transmitter.Moved up to @FreeCAD v1.0 and it really feels like a proper release.

The inclusion of the assembly workbench is great (this is an assembly of a step file from @kicad and two bodies); and lots of little improvements in the sketcher make it much smoother to use.

Render of a circuit board inside a rectangular case. There are two headphone sockets and a potentiometer on the PCB and they're poking through one side of the case. The case has a top and bottom half, and the top half is shown as transparent so the components inside are visible
