DoES Liverpool is a Community Interest Company, funded by the members for the members. It costs over £7000 each month to keep the space running, and all the profits go back into expanding the space or getting new kit.
If you’re on this page then presumably you’ve seen the “Cost of Doing Epic” poster. There are an assortment of ways that you can help DoES Liverpool: some financial, and some not.
Use Our Services!
Take a desk if you need somewhere to work; get one of the workshop memberships and make things; book the events room for your private meetings. There’s a list of options on the Services page.
Make a one-off donation
You can make a donation by bank transfer (that’s got our account details) or to our Paypal account. If it’s easier, you can also scan this QR code:
Become a Member
In addition to our paid services, we have a membership scheme. That does get you a small discount on our services, and lets you set up a recurring £10/month contribution to the running of the space.
Spread the Word
As it’s run by volunteers, DoES Liverpool doesn’t have an extensive marketing department to run fancy advertising campaigns. That said, word-of-mouth is a far better strategy, and one you can help with.
Made something cool using the equipment? Mention us when you’re telling people about it or posting it on social media.
Spot someone asking about where they can crack open their laptop and get some work done? Suggest they come hot-desk.
Planning an event or an off-site meeting at work? See if our events room is available.
Get More Hands-on
There are many other tasks that need doing to maintain the space and keep it running smoothly. The best way to get involved on that side is to come along to one of our regular Hack the Space days. Check the calendar for details, or ask one of the organisers.
