    Hi,

I am looking to build a coffee table I have designed over a couple months.

Does the workshop include power tools such as drill, sanders etc and basic tools like hammers screwdrivers etc?

    Thanks

    Liam

Liam – yes it does, best option is to drop in and see what we have. It’s mainly hand-held not bench units.

    Hi,
Do you have a reflow oven or converted toaster /pizza oven for SMB. I’m making a little Robot and I want to do 10 off to trial the design.

      Hi Jo,

I’m afraid we haven’t got any SMT capabilities at DoES at the moment. We haven’t quite tipped over into anything needing it just yet, but I’m sure it’s just a matter of time 🙂

      Cheers,

      Adrian.

Do you have a jig saw machine and table buffer wheel for plastics?

Wanting to make an acrylic insert for a box, will be there for maker night 🙂

    1. Paul says:

Just realised the laser cut can do exactly what I’m thinking right!

      1. amcewen says:

Yep, that sounds like the ideal job for the lasers 🙂

Hello, I don’t see a lathe in your list (nor the wiki)?

    1. amcewen says:

      Hi Eric,
That’s right, at the moment we don’t have a lathe. There has been discussion about getting one (and more woodworking kit) but we’d need to work out how to separate out different parts of the workshop to manage that first.

Hi was wondering if you may be able to help me please, I have a 13 year old son who is desperate to investigate the world of 3D printing and was wondering if you hold any workshops or you can possibly point me in the direction ? Many thanks Paula x

      Hi Paula,

We don’t have any workshops as such, but under-16s are welcome to attend the regular Thursday Maker Nights and Maker Days (second Saturday each month) if accompanied by an adult. There’d be plenty of people at those who can show him the 3D printers and help him get up and running with designing and printing things himself. (If you can bring a laptop along that’ll work best for him designing things, but it’s not essential)

      Cheers,

      Adrian.
