"Week 723 – OSHWA certifications, NixOS, Netting"

Each week we’ll endeavour to publish some details of the interesting things that members of DoES Liverpool have been up to over the past seven days. You can find out a bit more about them in our introductory post.

And remember, if you’re involved with DoES Liverpool at all, let us know what you get up to so we can include it here!

Fibre Arts Room

An important message from Liz:

Last week the Fibre Arts team put in a huge effort to tidy up the Fibre Arts room so it is a more appealing place to work and create. Stuff that had been dumped or left lying around was disposed of. We would appreciate it if equipment (including the ironing board and ladder) as well as materials, could be put away after you use them. If you would like to donate materials, could you please put them away or let the Fibre Arts team know that they are there. Going forward, in order to keep the room tidy for all users, materials that left lying around may be gotten rid of!

Things of Note

"Introducing our April 2025 Boost Workshop Member – Liz"

A warm welcome to our new Boost Workshop Member, Liz, already a longstanding and valued member of our community.

Liz says she’ll be using the membership to utilise the DoES space more; She has a small business, Sew Taylor Made Designs, and will take this opportunity to develop some ideas she has using the machines at DoES, particularly in the Fibre Arts room. She also wants to learn how to use the 3D printer.

Liz’s social media handle is @sewtaylormadedesigns on Instagram and facebook – take a look there to see her makes, especially the lovely bags and Sashiko embroidery.
