Japanese woodblock printing party
4 hour ‘print party’ for 6-8 people, in which participants will print their very own Great Wave off Kanagawa using multiple woodblocks. After an introduction to this famous work, you will be shown how to ink up the woodblocks, accurately position the Japanese washi paper and apply the ink using a bamboo baren. See how the iconic design builds up as you apply each of the 7 colours. All materials and equipment, specially imported from Japan, provided.
