Each week we’ll endeavour to publish some details of the interesting things that members of DoES Liverpool have been up to over the past seven days. You can find out a bit more about them in our introductory post.
And remember, if you’re involved with DoES Liverpool at all, let us know what you get up to so we can include it here!

Get Visors Into The Hands of Health Care Workers
We’ve been working with hospitals across Liverpool, Manchester and beyond to produce effective, low-cost visors, to help healthcare professionals keep doing their job throughout this crisis.

Things of Note
- Matthew Croughan: Thanks to the power of metal tweezers, these two formerly crappy Amazon tablets now run LineageOS (Stock OSS Android) instead of the proprietary, locked down OS with ads that they ship with and can be used for just about anything. It’s the little things in life 😇 #weeknotes pic.twitter.com/lqUhbNrRhD
- DoES Liverpool: Visor volunteers Ann and Duncan, here at DoES Liverpool on what should have been their wedding day #weeknotes pic.twitter.com/cZBYMOHoqp
- chris huffee: Robotorium and I have now made over 2500 visors as part of the DoES Liverpool effort.
If we started at the door of SandboxWorkshop and laid them all end to end they’d all need washing again and we’d get fined for non essential shenanigans.
#weeknotes pic.twitter.com/rYylavanlT - Adrian McEwen: Spinning up an #OpenTripPlanner instance for Liverpool to see if it can help us think about building a more active transport (walking, cycling, etc.) city github.com/Liverpool-UK/s… #weeknotes
