It’s stories\, it’s layers\, it’s identity in motion; fluid\, expressive\, and ever-evolving. JUST LIKE US. \nIn this 90-minute immersive writing workshop\, we’ll explore the sari as a source of inspiration; an open-ended canvas for voice\, story\, and perspective. With the vibrant Saree Forest installation\, the rich sounds of Hindi film music\, and playful writing prompts to guide you\, this multisensory journey is designed to spark curiosity\, creativity\, and connection. \nWhether you’re an experienced writer\, a curious participant\, or somewhere in between\, you’ll find a welcoming space to experiment\, express\, and explore. \nThis isn’t just a writing workshop—it’s an experience\, where words playfully collide to reveal a powerful piece of yourself: one that can be personal\, political\, poetic (whatever you wish)\, and uniquely yours to celebrate the super saree\, the super you. \nWhat you need to bring: \nNotebook and Pen / Pencil and the willingness to write (no writing experience is necessary). \nAll other materials will be provided. \nAbout the Project \nThe Workshops being held over the weekend are part of multidisciplinary artist Komal Madar’s project\, the Sari Forest. \n  \nFacilitator: Dr. Poonam Madar \nInstagram: @working.warrior \n  \nThe Sari Forest is a cultural\, immersive installation and performance project made from donated saris\, suspended to form a maze-like structure. It’s all about what makes you feel comfortable. \n  \nAbout the Project \nThe Workshops being held over the weekend are part of multidisciplinary artist Komal Madar’s project\, the Sari Forest. \nThe Sari Forest is a cultural\, immersive installation and performance project made from donated saris\, suspended to form a maze-like structure. This evolving environment invites visitors to explore healing and expression through voice\, movement\, and interaction. Rooted in community\, memory\, and care\, the space becomes both sanctuary and stage. \nAlongside the installation\, a workshop programme led by trained facilitators includes Creative Writing\, Indian Folk Art\, and a Mindful Movement class. These workshops aim to build confidence\, spark creativity\, share personal stories\, and nurture new connections across communities. \nThis soft launch is part of a long-term social engagement project that brings people together through fabric\, storytelling\, and embodied experience.
