SUMMARY:Introduction to 3D Printing
DESCRIPTION:So to get things rolling\, how about a 4 hour Introduction to 3D Printing workshop on the first Saturday of each month\, starting September? Emphasis on the DoES 3D printers.\n\n\nWe’ll cover the following topics:\n\n\nBasic components and operation of a filament 3D printer\nFilament materials\nApps for creating and editing 3D models\nOptimising designs for print\nUseful sites for downloading existing models\nPost-print and complementary processes\nTips\, tricks and common problems\n\nThe course assumes general computer skills\, and experience with some forms of computer graphics is very helpful. Attendees will require their own laptop and an SD card (full size) for transferring files to the 3D printer.\n\nBy the end of the course\, attendees will be able to create their own basic designs and use the 3D printers at DoES Liverpool.
