These can be used to create drawstring gift bags.\n\nDoES Members with Flexi Desk\, Permanent Desk\, Workshop or Off Peak Workshop membership are entitled to a discounted rate.\n\n\nWhat’s Included: All materials\, tuition \nWhat is sashiko? \nSashiko is a Japanese embroidery that translates as ‘little stabs’. Traditionally\, it was a decorative stitch used to mend and strengthen worn clothes. Today is it often used for visible mending or embellishing clothes. \nWorkshop summary \nIn this relaxing workshop we will learn how to sew a variety of decorative flower stitches. We will learn how to transfer the patterns and the stitching order. These can be used to create drawstring gift bags. \nEach attendee will receive their own sashiko needle and threads\, template and fabric which you will be able to take home to continue to explore this mindful embroidery. \nNo previous sewing experience is necessary and all equipment and materials will be provided.
