Each week we’ll endeavour to publish some details of the interesting things that members of DoES Liverpool have been up to over the past seven days. You can find out a bit more about them in our introductory post.
And remember, if you’re involved with DoES Liverpool at all, let us know what you get up to so we can include it here!
Things of Note
-
@embedded_iot We have a family member with macular degeneration and the @RNIB have been hugely helpful. We heard of @Synapptic1 and I am really impressed with their application for those with sight loss. Been installing here and works well!
- Museum in a Box:It’s always fun when people come and show us what they do with their Boxes.Yesterday Dr Alex Ball from the Natural History Museum visited and brought his collection of pollens, insects, sand and sugar 3D prints. He uses them with him Museum in a Box to explain microscopy and scale. 5 pence coins for scale 🤣#GLAM #museum #weeknotes #microscopy #VisuallyImpaired #3Dprinting
- DoES Liverpool:Detail from Mike G’s WIP VLR (very large rug) which he brought in today. “Getting close to 300,000 knots out of 500,000. Not much further to go, honest”.
#WeekNotes - DoES Liverpool:Some #MakerDay photos from Vicki: surface mount soldering with @Snoof and @huffeec and some swirly batik experiments
